Shaun Alexander will have a field day against the Arizona rush defense, so starting him is the easy part. Rudi Johnson is a hell of a running back, but Oakland's defense has been stepping it up a bit more recently, plus Alexander is trying to make up for lost time and the Cardinals are a good team to do against.
Brees against a solid Dallas defense or Brady against a nasty Miami defense. Either QB will be in for a rough time, but usually when it comes to teams from the same division playing each other, both teams step it up a notch. New England barely escaped Detriot and Chicago and Miami took a shellacking from Jacksonville. Miami will look to make a statement and target the Patriots' passing game. Brady is solid at QB but will need to be better than he has been in the last couple of games.
Brees and the Saints are looking to solidify their position in the NFC South and are facing a Dallas team looking to upend the NFC and lock in the East. That being said, Dallas is easier to pass against and New Orleans has more weapons at their disposal than Dallas can cope with. Also, with Reggie Bush's recent TD assault, Parcells will remain his typical self and focus on Bush, forgetting about McAllister, Horn, and Henderson. Brees will fare better against Dallas than Brady will against Miami.
Start Alexander and Brees

Larry Johnson is my #1 choice due to several factors. He has less wear on his body, seems to run with a chip on his shoulder, has a coach that loves to run, run, run even with old C. Martin he ran a lot. Larry Johnson had nine straight 100 yrd plus games in nine starts, many against tough defenses. My biggest knock is the loss of Saunders as Offensive Coordinator.. Alexander was the MVP, and he again has an easier schedule...but he lost his lead blocker Hutchinson, failed to go 100 yrds against the tough defenses, may not be as motivated now that he was finally signed to a huge contract and he's had many more carries than LJ, so he may have a greater risk of injury. I'm not a believer in curses, but he does have the EA SPORTS cover curse and fact that he played on runner-up Super Bowl Seattle. La Danian Tomlinson is the best back in the NFL and if he can stay healthy could challenge for fantasy dominance, especially if they utilize him in the passing game like they did when Brees was a 2nd year player. Another pick might be Clinton Portis. He's still young. His offense will suit him more with Saunders coming over from KC, and a balanced air attack with S. Moss, Antwaan Randle-El and Brandon Lloyd with under-rated C. Cooley at TE. IF the O-line progress's ...Portis could join the others. He's not as steady a goal line threat is my concern. Tiki Barber is always under-rated and was #2 in some scoring systems at RB. He's older...but still seems fresh...doesn't take the hits of a C. Martin or S. Alexander for that matter. S. Jackson, Ronnie Brown and Cadillac are all very talented runners who could break through to a new level.

I would go with Shaun Alexander, the guy is hot of late. Plus he goes against Arizona. Rudi isn't bad either but Alexander gives u the touchdowns. Also, go with Brady as he goes against a poor defense while Brees goes against a hot team (Dallas).

Alexander and Brady.
I agree with icehoundxx that dallas' D is easier to pass against than miami, but brady has just as many passing options if not more than the Saints, this week anyway. With collston out and horn not 100% after re-aggrivating his groin, Brees will only have 2 1/2 passing options (Henderson, Cooper, and Bush makes the 1/2) against a solid over-all defense, while Brady has 3 wide outs at 100% (Gabriel, Brown, Caldwell) plus 2 RB's capable of catching passes (i say two because i havent seen faulk catch 1 pass this season).
Plus, who have the dolphins REALLY been stepping up against? the texans? lions? vikings? bears w/ a struggling QB? Big Deal.

go with rudi. he has been mostly consistant all year. plus against oakland he should be able to get in for a couple TDS. I've had brees this season and the only time i was let down was when i needed a big game but NO had such a big lead they didn't even throw the ball anymore.

Alaxander and Brady....no doubt about it. Alaxander is playing against arizona...defense sucks. Brady is playing against Miami...they are not as bad as everything thinks they are, and their defense is pretty good...but with the whole team in general...Brady can preform!
