My friend has a trip booked to go to the Dominican Republic in january but she just found out she was pregnant today (around 1 month) is it safe to fly, and what should she avoid on the resort?
She also got the Hepatitis B shot and the flu shot are those going to hurt the baby?

I personnaly would call off the trip. But i think they can still go' it is safe to fly up to like 6-7 months, and should be okay as long as they watch what they eat and drink. bottled water only, no undercooked or raw foods... Good luck, and hope the trip go;s well.....

Make sure it doesnt stress her though. Travles cause worries, and worries can cause misscarriage. Good luck!

I know that flu shot is not going to hurt the baby, but I am not sure about the hepatits B, she better ask her Dr.
and she can fly up till she is 5 months pregnant. but she has to ask her Dr again, some women can not fly at all.

It's safe for her to fly now. It would only be unsafe if she was in her late 2nd trimester or 3rd trimester.

The flu shot won't hurt the baby. Pregnant women are actually advised to get the flu shot.

it probably wont be safe for her to fly until the last few months she is pregnant becuase the baby develops the most in the beginning of the pregnancy. and there is too much pressure inside the plane and it could mess up the baby's development.
