The song reached # 1 on the U.K. charts exactly twenty years after Blondie's first # 1 Heart of Glass.
When it reached # 1 in February of 1999, Deborah Harry was 53, making her the oldest female singer to have a # 1 in the U.K.
It topped the charts once and stayed there for one week.
Maria is my favorite song, and I love Blondie!
