I know all the parts that I have to buy and how to install them, I'm studying telecomunications!. Anyways, I want to build a nice fast but not expensive computer, something that runs great, maybe not for gaming, but regular browsing and e-mail.

If your not looking for something exceptionally fast or anything, it's probably cheaper to buy a PC that is already put together, especially if you want like virus protection and windows already installed. I built mine last year, and it cost close to 2,000 dollars by time I was done.. but the PC I had before that cost 500 from walmart and it was excellent for surfing and email.

I built mine, I don't know if I saved anything, but I have a 64bit chip with 2 Gigs of Ram. I may upgrade to dual core and I want to add multiple hard drives. This was my first. The largest expense was buying windows for $200.

Usually it will be cheaper to build, but only like high performance PC's. If you were going for low end, it would be cheaper to just buy one. It really depends on the specs you want and obviously know about.

as i accept as true with what all people says, that's greater value-effective to construct your individual laptop, yet once you do no longer comprehend something approximately construction a working laptop or laptop and dont have time to truly build/study the thank you to construct one. then stick to paying for a commercial type like compaq, gateway, dell, and so on... you may p.c.. those up for roughly $3 hundred-$500 minimum that could have the specs u choose or much greater efficient. even then you may upload greater RAM or further troublesomepersistent. as for processors, in recent times, agencies like those reported delivers you no longer something under 2.4GHz. i advise with the aid of the purposes taking over a lot CPU means and RAM in recent times to settle with a minimum of a twin middle and 2GB of ram. that is stable for then next couple of years in spite of the incontrovertible fact that it fairly relies upon on what you plan on doing including your laptop
