With a sleep positioner.

To let your baby sleep on its side is safer than letting it sleep on its stomach, but the most recent studies show that the position is not as safe for your baby as sleeping on its back.

My sister's baby died of SIDS, so I would really work at having him sleep on back until age 1.

of course. Thats actually the best way to lay a baby to sleep. It prevents then from choking if they spit up while laying on their back. Is totally safe. You could even use the baby positioner or roll up a baby blanket. jUst make sure you dont cover the babies face.

I lay my baby girl on her side without the sleep positioner. I just kept a pillow behind her. And I switch sides during the night. I heard all sorts of stories about kids heads getting misshapen and whatnot. And she hardly every slept on her back.

Be very careful when laying your baby on it side, because when you lay the baby on it side the baby can roll all the way over on the stomach, and that could cause the child not to brethe sometimes.when my child was a newborn I placed him on his back to sleep.

Yes.

So long as you are sure that their airway will remain unobstructed.

Once your baby can roll you should consider removing the positioner as it may do more harm than good.

Also, if you co-sleep, babies who sleep beside mom always always sleep on their side facing mom, and almost never roll to their belly until they are old enough to roll back off. I wouldn't use a sleep positioner if you are co-sleeping, it is just one more thing to juggle.

You can lay a baby on their side but make sure u rotate sides each time u lay them down and put support infront and behind. I was scared to death when my son was born he rolled to his side at birth. The hospital said its ok but if u dont rotate sides ur baby will get a lopsided head.

If you want to put your baby to sleep in 20 seconds you must get the "Instant Baby Sleep" MP3 sound track. Here is their official web-site: http://www.instantbabysleep.net

The sound track gently produces energy over the full human hearing spectrum with an embedded pulse that gently eases the brain to the Alpha state well known for drowsiness and sleep induction.
