Remember she would lead our country and we need to strengthen relationships with the Muslim world and they don't respect women. (Like it or not) Remember we are trying to make headway in this department. Your thought please.

Well, having a chimp in office doesn't seem to be working, why not try something new?

It's not a bad idea, depending on the woman and her stance on the issues and what is important to her. The American people will choose the person who best aligns themselves with the issues they find most important. Any person who votes or doesn't vote for someone based on their sex or race instead of their ideology shouldn't be voting at all.

Having a male president hasn't had any real improvements on the relationship with the Muslim world, so I see no evidence as to how the basis of having a female president will have any effect.

To be honest, people in the Middle East will probably hate America no matter what, so a president should be elected based on other important issues. Some people will still vote for a president based on their stance on whatever issue is most important for them (i.e. someone who is pro-life and feels this is a very important issue for them probably won't vote for someone who is pro-choice, whether the rest of their ideology aligns with them or not).

Women have been gaining power and respect in politics for some time now, I think it will only be a matter of time before one is elected for president. It probably won't be in the next election, though. Not enough people like Hilary to elect her, and I haven't heard of any other serious news of females who might run.

I think Hillary Clinton would make a good if not better president than all the others. Just as the others had their shot and failed let her get hers too. I think it is time for a woman to run things around here. Men are better are fighting with their hands and women are better when it comes to fighting with their words. Face it men may be stronger physically but women are stronger mentally. I mean this in no offense to anyone but to me it is the truth when we talk about all the people in the "political" world.

I think that allowing other countries' biases to call the shots in our selection of our government is a really, really, really bad idea.

Women have been extremely effective rulers and heads of state, in many countries around the world, throughout history. The judgement of history has shown them to be equally as capable of governing as their male counterparts.

Modelling our government after countries or doctrines which are biased against women is a terrible idea, as is using them as an excuse to keep women out of the Presidency. It will absolutely prove to them that they have more control over our decisions and policies than we do.

It depends on the woman, her qualifications, her position on the issues and basically the same attributes applied to a man.

There have been other countries with strong woman leaders - UK, India, Israel, etc.

Muslim countries will do what's in their best interests in working with the US. If a woman is head of state, they'll just have to deal with it.

We've never done anything just because the Muslim world would approve of it.

Other nations have had women leaders, so it's not a strange "idea" as you'd like to put it.

Absolutely NOT! Not only is it an abomination of the plans of this country, but it is not the precedent! I don't care about race of the president, but absolutely no women in office. I would vote rather vote for a Democrat male than if a conservative woman ran. Well...maybe Independent. I'm not saying women can't do the job, Condolleezza Rice would be an excellent choice! But from my morals and American traditions, there will be no woman on my ticket.

I think that everyone should go torwards there dreams (unless it's world domination) even being the first women president! I don't want to be president, (too much work) but some women might. I say go towards your dreams!

I would vote for a woman as long as she held conservative political beliefs. And I don't give a rats behind what the Muslim world thinks.

other countries have females as head of state but I don't know how the relationship with muslin's is affected. It seems to me a trumped up reason for going to war might hurt muslin relations.
