cranberry - for cystitis.
for thrush? well, the insane itching will be relieved by an old remedy. take a small amount of TREX - yes, trex - the white vegetable-derived fat. Hope you are in the UK as you wont know what I'm talking about. The Co-op sells it. Biocare (Birmingham) also sells a product that is excellent and natural - however, its main ingredient is very similar to Trex. So try that - it's also very cheap.
you should get to the bottom of why you have thrush though. Read books on candida and how to eliminate an overload of it.
by the way - loads of people think "ooh, I'll drink cranberry juice for my cystitis" and end up buying 'cranberry drink' instead - which is either full of sugar or sugar substitutes. The sugar is very helpful if you'd like to make thrush even worse...

Drinking cranberry juice or taking freeze dried cranberry pills (which are available at most health food and supplement stores) help with thrush by combating yeast. Thrush is a form of a yeast infection. If you have it, I am really sorry because I know that it can be painful. Cranberry is also useful in the treatment of urinary tract or bladder infections. It's a very powerful natural antioxidant. Good luck.

As a very basic differentiator, thrush will make you itchy and UTI will make you need to pee constantly. Not a perfect analysis, but a good rule of thumb. If it was cystitis, there is a good chance that cranberry juice could have helped clear it up. I've had it a couple of times, and both times I was able to solve it naturally by drinking loads of water, and I've heard people say that cranberry juice is really good for UTIs, so it could well have been all that was needed.

Cranberry juice is recommended for cystitis and bladder infections. Cranberries contain an enzyme that paralyses the bacteria that cause bladder infections.
I don't think it would help with thrush at all beacuse of the sugar content. Thrush thrives on a warm ,yeasty, and sugary environment.
The best way to help fight persistent thrush is to eat a diet that is free from yeasts and sugars; so no breads, biscuits, sweets, beer, ; eat loads of vegetables and take a capsule of acidophilous every day. thrush lives in the gut, and is spread to the genital area very easily.
Acidophilous helps replace the "friendly" bacteria in your stomach that stress, poor diet, boozing, and antibiotics destroy.

I am an alternative medicinal therapist and i don't know who told you that but its absolute rubbish, thrush is vaginal and cranberry only works on the kidneys and bladder. The reason it works with cystitis is because. Cranberry contains a component that stops bacteria from sticking to the walls of the bladder. The benefit is that the juices don't work by acidifying the urine, which is good because alkaline urine is more beneficial for beating bladder infections. Blueberry works just as well.

Cranberry juice is good for urine infections, no thrush!
Use natural yogurt if you don't want to use the normal creams.

It doesn't. Cranberry juice is antibacterial and useful for urinary infections. Thrush is a fungi, cranberry juice is useless against it.

If cranberry juice is good against infections, I guess its good to boost the throat against sore throats and colds too?
