My mom's 47th birthday is in a couple of weeks. Normally I didn't give her any present, but this time I'm thinking of buying her something because next year she'll move somewhere and we'll live seperately for the first time. So I want to give her a nice, not too expensive, and memorable gift. Guys, do you have any gift ideas for my mom's birthday? Thanks :)

Make it something personal -- An album with pictures of the both you together or of special times thru the years would be a very thoughtful gift -- IT would show you took the time to gather and organize all the pictures in one album.
(You can scan the originals to a CD and have Walmart reprint them if the originals are already in different albums.)

What would really stand out -- If you write something for each photo about your memories of being with her or about each photo.

In the begining or very last page write her a letter about your feelings and why you want this birthday to be special for her.

It's a pretty sure bet that something personal will mean more in the long run than something expensive.

How about a mothers ring. It's a ring with your birthstone and your brothers / sisters birthstones on it. You will need to order it soon, it takes about 10 days to make. You can get it at any jewelery store for $75 and up.

What about handcrafted silver jewelry? A bracelet or a pair of earrings would be nice. http://www.galleriapangea.com/jewelry/handmade_jewelry/products.html
