Simpletech External HardDrive Problem?

My external hard drive cannot be identified by a drive letter on my hard drive. It detects it but I cannot access it because the drive letter does not show up .. storagesync backup software came with the simpletech external hard drive. Now I cannot access my data on the hard drive .. PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is a USB external hard drive, correct? You may have to install a driver for it.
