Another possibility could be water in your gas tank. Try putting a can of dry gas in with your next fill up. That may help. Other than that, I don't know.

Does it happen only when the car is cold or every time you start up and start to drive. You never gave a year make and model and the motor size of the car. So we have no idea if your car has a carburetor or if it is fuel injected. If it's carbureted it would be a sticky choke that needs to be cleaned or adjusted. If its fuel injected it could be an idle air issue, a mass airflow issue, any number of sensor issues. I would check the basics first. Like the air filter does not need to be replaced and that the throttle cable is not binding up. From there you would need to look deeper. Sorry I'm not much help but you have not given much to go off of here.

Does your "Check Engine Light" come on? You either need a full tune up, (New Spark plugs and wires) or your ignition coils are going faulty.

Check the fuel filter that goes into the carb., also maybe the carb. just needs to be cleaned out. run some premium gas in your tank, or even run a tank of unleaded fuel with ethanol in it.

Good Luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

it might need a tuneup, or could be running rich at first, wouldn't know the cause of the second one without knowing the year of the car

it sounds like your car is misfiring, mine used to do that, and i had a tune up and it was fine after that
