if it's a sharp pain it could be your appendix. go to your doc and get it checked out. if it is your appendix and if it bursts, then it's not good...

Its probably a cyst, which is usually harmless or Feeling ovulation:
Mother nature has given most women body language that they are ovulating. Some women can actually feel when they are releasing an egg. They may experience a cramping or tingling sensation on either side of their pelvis anywheres from a few minutes to a few hours during ovulation. Some women feel this sensation and then release an egg, while others feel this cramping as ovulation is actually occurring.

I don't know if it was a "symptom" but before I knew I was pregnant I had cramps on my right side off and on for a few days... And they were different from period cramps. Kind of like what you are describing. I told my dr and he wasn't concerned.... They went away a couple of weeks after I found out I was pregnant.
Good luck and I hope for the best for you!! :)

It's normal to have cramps, but I have heard that if the pain is only on one side that it could be a tubal pregnancy. i'm not saying this to scare you. You need to get your results from the blood work and if you are you need to tell them right then that you are having pain on one side. good luck with everything!

While you're waiting for the test result, ask your practitioner to check you for the hernia - it also can cause cramps and could be very painful. Good luck!
