I wrote this nice long one and it just disappeared on here?
but the keys are all around us and you, they are the birds, the flowers all the little things we just take for granted each and every day as we pass them adn do not notice their beauty, or how they can help our inner peace, happiness is so many things, not just a few things we can do to make us unlock happiness, if that were true, then some one would be selling those keys..adn you know that's true..
but it is a lot of little pieces of the puzzle that make us happy, our friends, the snow, the rain, sun set, beach ...
and each and every little piece of that puzzle can bring inner peace and happiness, and each one of us has a little bit different puzzle that we have put together for ourselves, that can mean happiness for us

good luck

Within ourselves. We all have our own little key-of-happiness, but before we can use it, we must find it. If there was one sole key to happiness, one sole possibility, then not everyone would be satisfied and pleased, and thus not everyone would be happy. We all have our different ideas of happiness. One person might think happiness is finding true love and living a long, full life and being kind and loving to others while someone else may think happiness is succeeding in world domination via mass murder and declaration of all-out chaotic bloody war. Quite different, eh? The true definition of happiness is up to the individual, our own personal opinions, for there can never be one sole possibility of happiness as long as there exists in this world good and evil. So, the key to happiness lies within ourselves. After you find it, which may take longer or quicker than others to do so, you can either conceal it once again, or use it to unlock the door that has been sealed within you since the day you entered this material Earth.

Love. When you find what you love you have found contentment. I dont mean love of a person necesarily...of a thing or and idea. All of the statements above mine with the exception of a few are true as well. Many times it is where you least expect it. You can't always have it, it seems though, to say that the key to happiness is one thing would be lacking. What is the key to love then? Balance. Love/hate, light/dark, man/women. So it is many things, but they all do fall under some of the other major categories-Love.

Love yourself first and then one is able to love others. That is the key to happiness.

(1) being thankful for all you have, including the people in your life
(2) knowing that you are loved, and that your love for others makes all the difference in the world
(3) being able to forgive so that things that make you unhappy do not hold you back from correcting or preventing them in the future
