I smell this scent i've never smelled before and it's only in my room can I sue the contractors?

It has the smell of high concentractions of buildings. Like gyms, lunch rooms, etc.

Chances are the smell doesn't mean its haunted.
I was shocked to hear that when people build houses there are times when the workers just "go" anywhere; and there was one house discussed on a radio show that had the smell of urine built right into it because of this.
Since I assume you've smelled urine before (for one reason or another) this is probably not what causes the smell in your room; and you can't sue the contractors over this particular thing.
If there are new materials somewhere in or around the room that's probably what you're smelling; and you probably can't sue over the smell of new materials any more than can sue the manufacturer of vinyl shower curtain liners for the smell they have when they're new.
If the smell makes you sick keep a diary about when you get sick, how sick you get, etc. If, by any chance, the contractors used some kind of "iffy" material you may be able to sue; but if its standard material that just smells you just have to wait until it wears off.

Is the smell kind of like a sweaty unbathed contractor?
if so wait for them to leave and spray some fabreeze or open a window or use air freshener.

I doubt it's a haunting but maybe you should call the contractors and ask them what might be causing it.

try to look for the problem and try to search what causes the smell.
don't sue the contractors. try to solve as much as you can. do remedies.
if these fail, try to contact them.

get a fan and a costco pack of febreze and plug it in's and you will be fine!
