The question is not answerable. Noone knows how people become gay, its obviously something subconscious; why would anyone want to be looked down upon? But I dont think theres been enough cases to really say whether or not it'll happen. Look at straight people, do any of them suddenly become gay after?

The only case of a gay man suffering amnesia occurred when a disco ball fell on his head. He's still gay.

I think they would. Sexuality is a hormone thing. IF your a guy and your straight . ONce you see a hot looking girl hormones take over right. Same with a girl seeing a good looking guy. So as far as a gay guy not beign turned by his choice. Even if he suffered amnesia I dont think there would be a problem about beign aroused.

I guess it would depend on how you define "gay".
Most people feel an attraction to the same sex. That's not a memory, but more of a feeling... so amnseia wouldn't impact that.
On the other hand, some people choose to have relationships and intimacies with people of the same-sex for other reasons... prostitution, personal trauma, etc. So, I guess amnesia would impact that.

You're talking as if heterosexuality is the norm--homosexuality is just something you add on later and can somehow forget that you "adopted" it.
Being straight is no more the "default" sexuality than brown is the default eye color.

Most likely. If you're gay, you're attracted to a member of the same sex. That feel doesn't go away with amnesia, only the memories. They'll still be attracted to members of the same sex.

not the sedond they woke up. but they'd realize they were gay after they feel attracted to the same sex. I don't know how long this would take- after amnesia people don't think too much about sex and romance. Their biological impulses to find people attractive may even be turned off due to the stress of not knowing how they are.

of course they would, if youre heterosexual, which i doubt, and you had a bout of amnesia, woudl you remember that you asked a dumb question on yahoo answers?

I dont know but thats a heck of a question to ponder,my guess is not right away but eventually would be attracted to "gayness" again as its something I believe they dont choose-but are inclined too naturally
