Sorry I don't have a name to give you. However, as i understand it Reiki is not really learned, you are simply "attuned" by an existing practitioner. In my on going quest for knowledge, I was once attuned by a Reiki practitioner for the purpose of doing a couple of "blind" experiments in an attempt to determine if there really was anything to being attuned or, in fact, to the whole concept of Reiki.

The results:
Yes in our small (uncontrolled) test, an attuned individual acting with intent appears to have a noticeable effect well beyond both an attuned individual simply laying on hands without intent as well as an unattained individual attempting to act with intent.

One unintended down side is that now any time I attempt to do Reiki on an individual it does seem to help them, but I seem to get ill, often with the same sort of symptoms that they were experiencing. Perhaps this is due to a lack of additional training beyond the initial attunement for the sake of the experimentation?
