it might just be a automatic thing ur car does after so many miles. Take it to advanced auto parts they will do a free diagnostic test it might not detect any problemsif that happens thats when u should take it into the shop and pay money so they can look at it

GM wants you to take it back to their dealer organization but any good shop like Goodyear Gemni will give you an honest opinion and either fix the vehicle or refer you to an honest dealer. No that is not an oxymoron but it takes homework not to get cheated! Independent shops can fix cars but todays cars are very complicated with lots of electronics as well as the mecnhanicals. Goodyear guarantees their repair and will reimburse you if they do repairs and fail to correct the problem.

your not going to find anything just by looking under the hood you have to hook your car to a computer _ the computer then will give you a code and then you find the code in the book and that will tell you what it is
Chances are that if the car runs fine and all its an o2 sensor, Not a big deal my light has been on for years

I think the guy ahead of me is right. The sensors wear out on older cars. Just be sure your engine is not really over-heating. Good luck.

You might have hit a bump. It happens. That is a sensor that can be turned off. You can go to the dealership or you can go to someone that has a machine.
