I think the answer to this is the same as the answer to the question 'Why are all the guests on the Jerry Springer show morons?' The answer is that to get people to reveal their inadequacies on national television, they have to come from the low level, antisocial elements of society, and the not cleaning of teeth, and the resultant decay, is an integral part of the overall picture of personal neglect and lack of self-esteem.
I wouldn't air my dirty laundry on yahoo answers, let alone on a television program hosted by a smug self-satisfied turd like Jeremy Kyle.

I believe that smart dressing is banned in all quiz shows and audience based shows. One of the contestants on the weakest link last year let the cat out of the bag when Anne Robinson was quizing a particularly scruffy contestant who replied "We are told not to arrive dressed too smartly" Amazing this comment was missed at the programme editing process and it went out on air. As for the Jeremy Kyle type show, and those of similar ilk, most of the people appearing appear to be overweight, low intelligence, benefit scroungers who mainly have themselves to blame for their predicament. I also believe that most of the script is the result of a dummy run off stage, so that everyone knows what to say.

I don't know why they have bad teeth but there is absolutely no way i could go on national tv and tell people my most private things!
I'm sure the proffesional help would come in handy if it was needed but couldn't go on tv to get it!

People with poor dental habits tend to be in the less educated and less finanically stable department.So these types of people will actually aire their problems on national tv. Kinda like what the educated and elitist Romans did to the Christians and lower.class of Rome. Thay watched them for amusement.

A lot of them are, or have been drug abusers. Certain class A drugs reduce the body s production of things like calcium hence an obvious indication of this serious tooth decay at an early age.

It is really difficult finding an N.H.S Dentist apparently these days. Thank goodness I look after mine. Bad teeth is disgusting.

Because the only people who would go on that show are scallies and chavs, who would rather spend money on new tracksuits and trainers than go to the dentist regularly. Watching that show makes me feel really good about my life.

It's not only their teeth that are bad. Their hair, faces, bodies, attitudes, language are always all bad - in fact the whole show is BAD!!!!!!
