Royal mail is really expensive. I want to send a rather heavy box with some computer parts in it to my parent's house but Royal Mail says it will cost near £35. Is there anyone else that will take it for me for less money? Most of the companies I've looked at are only for commercial use - meaning I have to be a company to use them. Any help would be much appreciated.

UPS, they have stores world wide and deliver to every address..The stores may be called
Mail Boxes Etc.

That's the old name. All the US stores changed to The UPS store, not sure about the international ones.

I have used City Link in the UK for heavy items. You can take to their depot (and pay by cheque only) for a none commercial customer

Try DHL or UPS. If you have one locally then they may be able to do it. I used to use Red Star but they are dead and gone as far as I know.
