Something that can give the person short-term enjoyment, such as a lavendar candle.

We had this same problem with my mom last year. She had just a few months to live once Christmas was over.

We bought her some things to keep her warm (we live in Ohio). She had a picc line in her arm (where she received her morphine). So, we had some difficulty buying tops, etc. We (my sister and I) bought her some fleece jackets she could wear. We could then access her picc line easily.

Mostly, we just spent time with her. Time becomes very precious at this stage. If she likes photos, maybe some photos of family members and friends she can keep on her night stand to look at.

Does she like books on tape or CD? If so, maybe something like that would be suitable.

You are in my thoughts and prayers. Take care.

Ask her what she has always wanted for Christmas, but never received. Maybe something she wanted when she was a little girl and try your damnedest to find that thing, or something very similar. It will be much more special than and robe or slipper.

The things money can't buy -
a warm smile
a hug
read a cheerful story aloud
watch TV together
sing
quality time to sit and talk
or just sit peacefully
Keeping the last months as upbeat as possible with laughter
No one wants or needs a gloomy visitor.

I think spending as much time as possible with her is the best present of all. It will comfort her and help her feel less scared. I think that is the best way to show you love her. Play cards with her, watch movies, read, listen to music, talk, share jokes.
On top of that maybe a book if she enjoys reading, a fish to watch swim, something that may make her feel more comfortable like a down comforter or something like that.

How about a Bible and you making a promise to read to her every day (if you live close enough). Share the good news of Christ and the reward that waits for the faithful believers and children of God.
Share the plan of salvation; Hear God's word, Believe Jesus is God's Son, Repent of sins, Confess before men. be immersed in Baptism to wash away sins and then follow God's commandments and His Word (BIBLE)

Knowing that we have a home in heaven makes death less "SCARY"

Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for the evidence of things not seen.
Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him, for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a REWARDER of those that DILIGENTLY SEEK HIM.

I said a prayer for you and your family and I hope you find strength in God's word to see you through these next tough months.

Seek ye first the kingdom of God and ALL these things shall be added unto you. (Matthew 6:33)
