Isn't heaven a nice idea, even for a person who isn't interested in gods and eternal life (after death)?

My Biblical answer: my heaven for those who have been righteous and faithful to God would be however the New Jerusalem would have been constructed (read the book of Revelation if you don't know what I'm talking about).

My...other answer: I would design a "heaven" where everyone has their own space where they can have and make real whatever image of heaven they had in mind as individuals; their personal idea of a heaven would be realized in their own personal space. That is considering if you believe heaven would be something along the lines of a typical Hollywood movie, as if we still remained in our physical forms.

If you ask me, heaven would be (until the time of the Judgement of Man) a place for the souls of the departed to rest. These are souls, not people. Our bodies are mere vessels that contain our souls. Our souls will rise to whatever realm fate may take them to while our physical bodies, material desires, and hopefully human nature, will remain on earth. It may be possible that heaven will be nearly the exact opposite or reflection of whatever heaven humans have in mind, since material desires and wantings will no longer be necessary once we depart from the physical world.

My own personal view of a heaven...would be a heaven that has nothing to do with personal desire and material wanting; a place where humanity and human nature is a vague and obsolete image, nothing more than a nightmare come and gone. No Humanity.

These are my different views of a heaven.

What Thought Did.

At the point of death every person would be nothing except thought, they would realize that they had died, they would realize they were nothing, they would realize that they would be nothing forever, it would feel terrible, they would have a clear memory of what living had been like, they can remember clearly every detail.
They can also remember that moment which had been before life, that moment which had been forever into the past. They could think then, but as they had only ever experienced nothing, they could only think nothing.
They would realize how calm everything had been before life, no experience, no knowledge, no memories, no dreams, and they found the microscopic spec of dust in infinity which led to their experience of life.
It would be like HELL, nothing forever, with a memory, a past life, a life which made pure calmness into terrible turmoil, forever.

Who can guess how long this Hell goes on for, different past people would take different times to realize.

Nothing but thought CAN THINK.
Thought can create a Coca Cola can which thought can see, can feel, can give life to, can create a living breathing Coca Cola tin, can create dinosaurs, can create a universe made of marsh mellows, cannot stop creating, moving further and further from that Hell, as the creation continues, eventually they may create a world like this, and when they let people die, they give them nothing, the same nothing which they received, the same nothing which is everything.

Thought can imagine living again, there is only what thought thinks.

Everyone gets nothing, nothing equals everything.

You could eat as many cakes as you want without putting on any weight. Be surrounded by the best looking men who are at your beck and call. You just imagine a designer dress and it appears in front of you for you to wear immediately. If you want to, you can fly instead of driving cars (but if you like driving then a car of your choice is available immediately). You can do all sorts of drugs or whatever, without it harming you at all. Everything is just perfect.

Of course, we all think of Heaven as a wonderful concept; don't we? No more conflict, no wars, no politics, no pain, no death, no bad weather, no violence, no pollution, no anguish,no racial/religious/gender/sexual-orientation problems, endless sunshine, endless love, endless kindness to each other, everything PC and liberal, and the endless rule of the 'Human Rights legislation'. Wow!
Not for me I'm-afraid. Please don't get me wrong, I don't enjoy pain and suffering, but we need all of those list of things to keep us sane. Without them we wouldn't know what real happiness is.

Who knows what death will bring? Nobody that I know. Lots of people have wonderful faith, and I envy them; but they still really don't know for certain.

It would be the favourite place of each & every person - fluid and malleable so that each and every one would have his/her special surroundings, in colours of the choosing of each person, textures, sounds, fragrances, wondrous sights, happiness would reign, sorrow would be non-existent, everyone would smile all the time, peace would prevail. Harmony would blend in every aspect of existence.

How wondrous.
