and I want to take it off and can't figure out how to. When I first start up my computer it showes the picture. When it set as background it didn't give me a destination to store the picture. I have windows 2000 professional.
I have looked on my disk c and its not listed in my display backgrounds.

Do a file search for all .bmp & .jpg file on your PC (include hidden files and folders).

The picture should appear in these search results. When you find it, delete it or move it and then Windows will not be able to find it and display it :o)

Right-click on your desktop and select Properties. Click the Desktop tab at the top and then select another backround image from the list. There is a selection for none at the top of the list which will simply display the color you have selected on the right.

It's simple.

Right click on your screen (not in a window)>>Properties>>Desktop. There, you can change your background. Have fun!

Right click on a blank area of your desktop, proporties,then the desktop tab. the rest is easy.
