One thing for sure is, if you have read it..... The Democrats of his day surely were not what the Democrats of today embrace.

Kennedy was about country, self sufficiency, hard work and protecting the little guy. Never forget the most important line in the JFK legacy "Ask not what your country can do for you... Ask what you can do for your country".

The Democrats of today pander to the lowest common denominator. They want big Government controlling your life. They tell you that society owes you a living. If you fail its your neighbors fault because he has more than you. They preach entitlement and force you to believe that someone needs to support you from womb to tomb.

I long for the good old days when every American wanted to be a productive member of a land and ideology that they would defend to the death and were proud of.

because of all the presidents he was one of the most popular as well as one of the most well versed speakers.. almost every college level speech class teaches about his speeches and the way he spoke (fast and cut his words off quick.. he could say more in less time and everyone could still understand him)

It was the last time that a Democrat said anything uplifing or inspiring. Now all they do is bash, and say incredibly stupid things like "I voted for it before I voted against it." or "Go to college and study hard or you'll wind up in Iraq".

By whom? It was freezing cold out there. He went on for two hours about his B.S. promises that he never kept. Considered a best speech? I doubt it very much. I remember him very well. He did nothing of importance and certainly said nothing of importance. He had the luck to die young so as to be made into a hero.
