How can you tell if it real?

If it seemed very cheap it is probably dodgy. E-bay is getting an evil reputation as a way fraudsters distribute fake goods. I know that they protest that they are doing all that they can, but only a brief tour will bring up offers - particularly in trainers and luxury goods - that are obvious fakes. If e-bay took down risky offerings promptly they could stamp much of the problem out.

Step 1) All Coach items are identified with a Coach logo, serial number, and/or Coach Creed. Larger items such as handbags, briefcases, and backpacks will have the Coach Creed and corresponding serial number inside the product. The older Coach items have serial numbers consisting of 7 to 8 numbers with a dash between the 3rd and 4th numbers or 4th and 5th numbers. The newer serial numbers consist of 3-4 letters and numbers followed by a hyphen and 4 more numbers. Smaller items, such as wallets, cosmetic cases, PDA Cases, belts, etc may have only a Coach Creed on the inside or an embossed logo in the exterior leather. A select few of the older vintage Coach items have only a Coach Creed, without the serial number, as well. Any reputable seller should be able to provide you with a picture of the Coach Creed, serial number, and/or logo of the item they are selling.

Step 2) Look for high quality leather. Most Coach products are made of glove tanned leather....a leather that goes through the same tanning process as that of a baseball glove. The leather of Coach handbags, briefs, and backpacks is typically heavy, thick, and it darkens, softens, and takes on characteristics such as wrinkles and "scratches" as it ages. While Coach uses other materials, such as twill, suede, Sonoma leather and suede and other pebbled texture leathers, Coach never uses faux leather or vinyl.

Step 3) Check the hardware. Coach uses solid brass hardware, nickel hardware, or gunmetal hardware....all high quality metals that have a little weight to them. While any hardware is prone to tarnish with age, the hardware on Coach bags should never peel or chip (which would indicate a coated metal). Zippers, turnlocks, and buckles should be high quality and well-made.

Step 4) Is the stitching on the item even? Most often the stitching is of the same color as the leather. Sometimes the stitching is a contrasted color but will still be even in appearance with small stitches that are sturdy and professional looking. Stitches that are too big, uneven, or of a funky color may be an indication that you are looking at a fake.

Step 5) Most Coach items come with a Coach Swing tag....some do not and sometimes they just get lost. A Coach Swing Tag can be an indication of an authentic Coach item if the item meets the rest of the criteria and the printing of the word Coach is centered and even on the Swing Tag. The good news about swing tags is that if the authentic, used Coach bag you've bought is missing its swing tag you can order a replacement from Coach for free.

Step 6) Additionally, if you have any questions or concerns, contact the seller you are considering purchasing from or whose auction you are planning to bid on. If the seller is reputable and serious about selling only authentic items they will be more then happy to answer your questions and provide you with any reassurance you need prior to bidding or buying. If you ask a seller a question and they do not respond within a reasonable amount of time, proceed with caution.

if it's real it will have a leather rectagular tag on the outside of the bag and a leather authenticity badge on the inside where the smaller inside compartment is. on the badge there should be a serial number. the bag should also come with a coach booklet inside. also, check the stitching of the bag, especially around the seems and look at details. If it looks shoddy or there are missed or irregular stitches (in short, if it doesn't look like something you'd pay a couple of hundred dollars for) then it probably isn't the genuine article. You're taking a gamble when buying off Ebay, it's safer to go to a tangers outlet and buy a genuine bag on sale there.

not to burst your bubble but it is rare to find anything in handbags that is authentic on ebay some even come with fancy authenticity cards but they are still fake think about it if you have a 600 dollar bag are you going to sell it brand new for 200 hundred? take it somewhere where they sell coach hand bags but if its from ebay it is probably fake you might also want to go to the coach official website and see if you can find your bag but look very closely some are real good fakes

they have this element called "genuine fakes". actual that is a faux bag made to seem such as a authentic bag, yet its nonetheless faux. The "genuine faux" luggage are a larger/extra efficient high quality then purely regularly occurring ol' faux luggage, so as that they do come off as being authentic. one element which will inform you if it is faux or no longer is the placing out cost or "purchase it Now" cost. If it is quite low, then danger is it is faux because contained in the proper you get what you pay for. If the cost change into intense, then i'd commence to lean extra in the direction of it being authentic. even if the purely thanks to be one hundred% effective that that is authentic is to take it to a coach save & have a manager seem at it & then they are going to inform you if it is definitely authentic or no longer. also, any respected seller on ebay must have some type of coverage retaining that the bag is one hundred% genuine or double your funds decrease back, that style of element.
