I found an 20 GB IPOD last week on the street by a bus stop. Pretty neat find! I charged it but it won't turn on. Can I take it to the IPOD store to have it checked out or does it need to be registered in my name?
I don't want them to think I stole it or anything.

I thought of the sign idea but I'd get TONS of responses and I'd have no way of knowing whose it really was...so much for returning it.

Why don't you take it to the Apple store in the area and see if they could track the owner based on the serial number. Someone lost it and probably wants it back! If they can't, then keep it!

Maybe you should put up a sign at the bus stop with your number saying that you found someone else's iPod. And hope they call....after all, Karma can be a *****, you know. JMO
