There is a chain of stores around where I live called "Slackers". If you are in the STL area go there. They have all the old system and games.
You can also check other game stores that sell used, but you probably won't find one. It would have to be a niche store.
I would also check eBay. That's where I got one of mine.
You can also check local garage sales. I picked one up there too. If you need to fix them you can google how to. I had a guy friend (at the time, he's now my bf) fix the one I bought.

Not quite sure what you mean by refurbished, but Nintendo has made newer versions or transered many of the older games to Game Boy Advance and Nintendo DS. You might be able to find someone to port them to the system you would like them on, but probably not.
If you mean refurbished systems, then some gamestores have N64s, but otherwise Ebay's your answer. (I have an SNES, but I like it. =).

Game Crazy. They have a ton of old games and systems. I havent seen any lately at Game Stop. I believe they stopped selling the old systems.
