Because they deal with a religious book for reference and the interpretation they use does not allow for equality or pluralism. They cannot conceive of anyone having any rights that do not conform to the book they use. Since both of these concepts came after the 14th century they have no place in the way they see the world.

They believe in Islam rule and that no one should be anything but a Muslim and if you disagree with them, you should die. The Islamofacists are trying to eliminate Israel and America altogether. Better we kill them before they kill us.

Because the beliefs of the radical Muslims tend to be tolerant only of totalitarianism. They do not assimilate, nor do they recognize any alternative views as legitimate.
