Well, yeah it sounds that way. If its gone on for several weeks or more you need professional help. If however you have reason to be depressed I personally believe that is a different matter. Sometimes it helps to put your own problems into perspective if you go see someone else's that are a lot worse. Go visit a homeless shelter, a soup kitchen, read stories to children in a cancer ward or read the newspaper to the elderly in retirement homes. Then your depression will likely leave you as you will throw it away. If it doesn't go away........get to a doctor and get some medication. Nothing is wrong with doing meds if its to get you through something you are experiencing.

Yes first of all medications are only temporary if they work at all. On must understand the actual meaning of life and who the really are. We are not this body mind, nationality, color, race or even religion, we are eternal spirit soul part and parcel of the Supreme Soul. This material world is called Maya or illusion and is temporary and full of misery. Any one who realizes this is coming to the spiritual reality platform. We have to break through these veils of illusion and the quickest and easiest way to do this is to chant the Maha Mantra or the Great Mantra for deliverance (deliverance from all suffering and illusion) Man means mind and tra means deliver.
Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare
Say it loud enough to hear each syllable and at least 108 times. Get some mantra beads if you can or make some of 108 beads.
We have to get our mind out of this illusion. Read the Bhagavad-Gita As it is By Bhaktivedanta Prabhupada which tells the full process and how to get completely out of this miserable condition. Get the DVD The Trueman Show with Jim Carry It gives you an Idea of what I'm talking about.
