Hi,
I'm constanly now being asked "How Do I Stop Smoking?"
I really emphathise with you, I quit my 20 a day habit in a pain-free way!
No stress, no cravings, no weight gain, no pills, patches or gums.
The program I followed was recommended by a friend and now boasts a 90% success rate and is 100% fully guaranteed - can't say fairer than that

All the best..

The best ways to quit smoking are to avoid situations where you think prompt you to smoke, then think about why you smoke in the first place, and to, if necessary, seek medical help. There are a variety of smoking cessation products available in chemists shops that are freely accessible, you don't have to feel ashamed that your friends see you using them. If they are real freinds they will understand. If you smoke to get the kick from nicotine, the products would help (there are many different forms, one to suit virtually any person), however it may be a social thing where you see other people smoking and feel compelled. Have a think about why you smoke, and what it means to you. Try to imagine how your life will be once you have stopped, for example how much money you will save, and what that equates to in your life.

Hope that helps.

Don't be ashamed. If there's somebody else you know that wants to quit, quit together. Also, try taking Wellbutrin/Zyban. That really takes away the bad cravings, but take it for 7 days before quitting.

You have numerous options.... You can go see a doctor and get a prescription.... You can work with a support group if one is available in your area.... Or you can fess up to the friend and ask them for help.....

Smoking is very hard to quit....Some cannot do it alone....

it's something that you have to WANT to do. you can't quit for anyone else but yourself. so until you're ready to quit, just let them know that it's been a little harder on you than you thought. if they're your friends they should understand.

Good Luck!!
