i will be working as a subbie for my old boss supplying van and tools . how much should i charge him a day and any advice for c.i.c scheme (need to put extra away for tax,) what terms would be good as far as doing my own jobs i.e how much notice to give him if i need a day or two

£20.00 an hour or £180.00 a day.....That sound fair to me. I have just had an electrican round and would be quite happy to charge him £20.00 an hour......

being a subbie is good for the wallet. the going rate for a subbie just now is about 14 to 16 per hour. but you will need to put 18 percent away for your tax or you can register as c.i.s 4 i think it is then your employers pay your tax for you and you still get your stamps at the end of the month.

Which state ? city ? do you have a journeyman's card ?
Question way too general, huge $$ differences in different areas.
