I try to remember all the time- but honestly ppl- would you rather I remember pleases and thank yous or remember the material for my next chem test? I always feel bad if I realize I forgot to say thank you later though.

Yes I do all the time! What really bothers me is when I say I am sorry for something I didn't do. Like if someone bumps into me at a store I feel like it was my fault bec maybe I was in their way?! But I did nothing wrong. Then I yell at myself for being an idiot! Shouldn't they say they are sorry for bumping into me!!? Another one that annoys me is when I hold the door for someone and they don't say thank you. I yell back to them "your welcome!" That usually gets them to say something but I can't stand when you do something nice for someone and they don't even pay attention to it!

Yes, I usually always do. I think they are very important in maintaining good relations and order. I especially was very polite as a child, but I think as I become more and more calloused by how cold people are, and disheartened by the condition of the world today, I see that my good manners sometimes subside in a reaction to my disappointment. Most times they are appreciated and wonderful to use around those who deserve them, but I'm learning to treat the others with disrespect in a similar fashion. I'm tired of getting walked over.

Yes, that's the way I was raised. To show respect. It's real fun when I say "yes Sir" or "yes ma'am" to a person younger than me. You should see the look on their faces. I don't think they know those words.

Most kids nowadays aren't taught this and I find it very disrespectful. At 35, I still say it and I will continue to do so.

"Please"---Most of the time. I kind of slack off with my husband and children. Not right, I know.
"Thank you"---ALWAYS
"You're welcome"---99% of the time. I hate "No problem" and "uh-huh"

Peace
