I cant tell you the best way to live with a person who is dyslexic but i can tell you my own personal experience.

My partner is dyslexic and ive been with him for nearly 6 years. He is semi illiterate in english and even worse with numeracy. He works a fulltime job as a labourer seeing his reading and writing skills will never get him into a job that requires him to do them.

He did do a course in literacy and numeracy before he met me. And he did this course for nearly 5 years. His skills get better, but just enough with his english that he can read average, and write a little. His main goal at the time was to be able to get his drivers license. After he finished the course, he did go for his license and passed with flying colours to his delight.

HHmm the best way to cope or live with a person with dyslexia? Get them involved in your every day decisions and make sure you help them understand every day knowledge. My partner didnt even know how to use an ATM Card when i met him!!! He was so scared of machines. I taught him how to use an ATM, how to use a microwave, washing machine and read information labels on food items.

He doesnt have to be a genius, but he did have to learn every day basics.

If this person needs help with literacy and numeracy then ask them if they would be interested in doing a course specifically for dyslexic people. Go to your local community centre and see if they have any information on it. Good Luck.

I continually thought dyslexia became into greater of a analyzing incapacity than an usual gaining expertise of incapacity, yet perchance i've got been misinformed. there is not any choose which you will assessment at a rapid p.c... go on the p.c.. it fairly is comfortable for you. At 23, no person is going to tease or giggle at you like they did in grade or extreme college. maximum persons are a lot greater mature and understanding in grownup training. in case you do no longer sense comfortable in a college room atmosphere, you ought to continually take a correspondence course or get a level online. do no longer provide up on your self. there is not any reason you won't manage to stay a typical, healthful and efficient existence. A gaining expertise of incapacity isn't something to sense embarrassment approximately, and relatively on your case, the place you have a choose to acquire a level. i think of it relatively is totally admirable, and that i comprehend you're able to do it. You write and exhibit your self o.k.. purely because of the fact persons are sluggish beginners, does no longer mean that they are no longer clever. particularly the different. So don't be scared to get that degree. stable luck and God Bless!

Try to recognize their limitations and help them in the areas they are weak. Being dyslexic does not mean there is a lack of intelligence.

It has been proved that people who suffer from dyslexia are often more intelligent than those who don't. The condition doesn't allow them to get it across or to be able to write it down etc but the all important info is there..
