Depends where you're looking to be hired. You should try to dress something like the people who are already employed there, except slightly better. It would silly to walk into Starbucks in a business suit, but a bank would be thrilled to see a job applicant walk in dressed that way. If you're looking for a job in an art gallery, the wardrobe needs to be creative, yet tasteful. See where I'm going with this?
Check the place out beforehand, and follow the crowd.

First rule is no jeans, or sneakers. I usually wear dress pants, anything that is not jean or cotton, thin stripes are okay, nothing really pronounced. Also make sure your top has sleeves. I don't know of any job that lets you wear a sleevess shirt to work so why wear it to the interview? If your top has a visible label make sure it's small and mostly unnoticable. Moderate jewlery and makeup. What helps me out most isn't so much what I wear but having a resume, any experience I'd put it in and it's gotten me in every time, a really happy but professional attitude, be friendly, smile but make sure you look like you're not forcing it. I usually end up becoming a totally different person, but if you really want the job who cares that you're really not that ecstatic all the time. Handshakes actually do make a difference, firm handshakes.
Good luck!

A mini-skirt, if the interviewer is a man. That way he'll look more favorably on you in his mind. Pink or baby blue would be good.

Joking aside, something conservative. No scoop necks or anything too revealing. You don't want to wear anything that will distract the interviewer from finding out what qualifies you for the position. Just choose either nice dressy slacks or modest dress in any color (within reason - not hot pink for example). I'd choose a solid color versus pattern, because you want the interviewer to be able to get a fast, good impression of your appearance. If they have to study the pattern to take it in, then it's going to be distracting.

The first one was a good answer. Kind of depends on what sort of job you're going for, but you want to be smart and conservative. A suit or jacket, shirt and tie for a man, and a smart suit or dress, or skirt and blouse for a girl. In my opinion, girls should not wear trousers to an interview, but maybe I'm old-fashioned. No jeans!

as quickly as I interview a guy or woman for a place i seem at various issues and the black adventure you desire to positioned on says you're classic, which in turn means realiable, annoying working, user-friendly. formerly you opt for the interview bypass to the save and notice what the salespeople are wearing...is it casual or extra severe end from there you would be able to make your black adventure fit in by employing dressing it up or down. hear and concentration on the guy who's doing the interview, eye touch is top, while asked a query answer it honestly do no longer answer to what you think of they p.c. to take heed to. shop your hair out of your face, confirm you haven't any longer have been given on any distracting jewerly, take a seat in a chair upright no slouching, slouching is a pink flag to an interviewer. in case you do no longer comprehend some thing ask for it to be repeated then nicely known you realize. no longer alot of makeup or too lots fragrance be as organic as you would be, have self belief it or no longer alot of makeup and jewerly could make an interviewer ask your self what you are attempting to cover. only persist with those innovations as you p.c. them and be your self. stable success!
