You can't. The same law that gives you the right to divorce also gives your soon to be ex the right to every available legal delay.

You can agree with your ex, which I'm sure would expedite the process.

But, if you disagree, then both of you are protected by the law here.

To expect it any other way would be selfish and unreasonable.

Your attorney should be able to petition the court and order them to court. Then when they hinder the process, they could be held in contempt and face jail time or pay a fine.

idk- I'm thinking of buying a handgun & trying to persuade him to just let me the hell outta this legal trap. I gave mine a no fault with no alimony no property- nothing at all. Just sign the stupid paper!

I'm walking away from everything including $15,ooo of my 401k to just get out. I have no idea why some people get off holding another person hostage.
