Kind of hard to give you full info when you leave out the date of the coin. Anyway it is from Hungary. It takes 100 Filler to equal a Forint. The Forint under the Peoples Republic were minted from 1946-1989. The 10 Forint (10 on the coin) other than a special sliver issue of 1956 has been issued from 1971-1989. It started up again in 1992 under the Republic of Hungary and continues to this day. It takes 220 Forint to make a dollar at as of Oct 2006. There are really no rare or even scarce dates in any of the 10 Forint series. There were some special proof issues that have premiums of up to $10.00 sell price.World coin dealers pay less. hope this answers your question.

just by doing a search of the word "forint" on google it is telling me that the word is a monitary unit of Hungarian currency.

the link below is a nice picture of different units of forints from wikipedia.org

Hope this helps.

Oh yeah and the exchange rate to says that along with a little of my own calculations 10 florint equals roughly 0.05 USD
