That you REALLY SHOULDN'T start drinking or taking drugs; it's not just something your parents tell you for the heck of it.

that the world can be very cruel sometimes but that you have the strength to over come anything...and do not believe everything you are told...at the end of the day if you feel like you have done your best and made the world a better place then you have done something awesome...do not be so hard on yourself and always remember to forgive others...people do not always do the right thing and are not perfect...plus you will make mistakes we all do...do not let them cripple you...love and respect yourself and all the other things will come...

You know, I've often thought about what I would change if I could go back in time. And there are so many things. Especially my choice of women. But, then I think about my wonderful kids and I realize that if I changed things, they wouldn't be who they are. Maybe I wouldn't have had any kids at all. In spite of all the BS I've been through, I wouldn't change anything. As Garth Brooks sang, "I could have missed the pain, but I'd of had to miss the dance." My kids are the dance. They're worth all the pain.

Without a good education life will be twice as hard. A decent man does not want a sl*t. And if and when you have kids give them all of the love that you know how to give.

I would tell myself
" Love is the hardest thing. Wait until you get your other goals met before you attempt it! Do not get distracted, stick right to your goals. Love will wait! Don't let anybody push you around, Stand up for yourself and what you believe. Don't give up and Don't give in!! Oh yeah.... Don't smoke!"

I'd want myself to know about my mental illnesses and DO SOMETHING ABOUT THEM before they got as bad as they are now. It was hard for anyone to see that I was depressed and had Asperger's when I was younger because I did so well in school. Now they've made my life a mess.

That love isn't as easy as it looks when you are a kid. That even people in love argue and fight, and love can come and go in the blink of an eye.
