Yahoo publishes their Buzz Index. Is there software, service or publication available online that tracks day-to-day buzz in the same way for keywords and niches?

There are a couple of free services such as Google trends

And Nielsen Blog Trends
http://www.blogpulse.com/trend?query1=camera&label1=&query2=&label2=&query3=&label3=&days=60&x=14&y=0

These services won't give you demographics or are easy to use as Yahoo! Buzz Index but they may deliver against your objectives.
