I'm 18 years old with no teaching experience. But, i heard that by being a teacher for one of Kaplan's SAT classes, that could help defray the cost of LSAT classes by the employer.

While the rates vary by location, in California, SAT teachers start at roughly $20/hr. Unlike our competitors, we also pay you for all the preparation you need for the class/student, as well as provide part-time health benefits and many perks from sister-companies. After a year of teaching, you'll earn yourself a free course and then get paid even more for teaching SAT AND LSAT.

When I worked at Princeton Review, I started at $14/hour Canadian. This was in 1998 and was slightly more than double minimum wage I think.

I taught the GMAT but was also trained to teach the SAT and the TOEFL, and they offered to train me on LSAT but it was when I was on vacation. The training was paid (I think at minimum wage) and amounted to a really good GMAT/SAT class (TOEFL not so much, I watched a training video).

But really, if you did well enough on your SATs to teach for them, LSATs shouldn't be a huge problem.
