I blame it on the parents - most have been brought up to think like that and it carries through into their adult life. Its a shame coz most - if they dont lose the attitude - end up as very lonely miserable old people xxxx

They may have reasons to feel superior. They may feel they're smarter or make better choices. They may think they're more attractive, make more money, or live in a better part of town. Or maybe they just feel good about themselves.
Are you really asking the question you intend to ask? Maybe you have someone who is engaging in some behavior you don't like, but you're assuming it's because they think they're better.

I don't know why. I guess all people would like to be better than everyone they know. The way I hear it, someone is always tearing others apart. Maybe that makes them look better to themselves. I think we all are pretty equal to most extent. Some of us have more problems surviving. Some of us are users, and some are givers. All in all, if we behaved, we are a pretty good lot.

Yes I know what you mean. Some people have low self esteem, others have just normal and others have super power self esteem. You know god, I don't need anyone, except for when I want something. Darling did I just tread in poo, oh no sorry it's you!! yes they do don't they. Don't let them bother you. After all we all come in to this world the same way and we all go some time or another, no one is extra special except for you. Sod them.

Because they do have a reason. It's called selfishness. It's called having a chip on their shoulder. It's called not having self-love because when you have self-love, you want to share that love.
You cannot be mean to others when you love Yourself! ...so it's an indication of where they are when they treat others badly.
Forgive them, as the forgiveness sets you free. It has nothing to do with them. It sets you to love yourself, and to attract good people into your life.
As my mother used to say, don't sweat the small stuff, and sometimes people are very small....I do miss her.
GOD bless.

I think most, if not all, people who fit into this category are secretly ashamed of some aspect(s) of themselves. Sometimes this is a difficult concept to grasp, I admit. And there could be other reasons as well.

Insecurity and a lack of self esteem. People like this make others feel bad so they feel better about themselves. I have one word to describe them......IDIOTS.

Maybe they do have a reason. Maybe they are better.
Seriously though, I think it's probably because they're pr*cks.
