Global Warming.
CO2 is 30% higher than it has been for 650,000 years. Methane is 130% greater. These are two of the main pollutants humans put into the atmosphere in excess, and they are two of the primary greenhouse gases.
Look at the 'hockeystick', which shows a dramatic warming since 1950 after a fairly stable climate for 1000 years. In fact, the 10 hottest years in recorded history have all happened since 1990, with 2005 being the hottest.
(see links below)
How's that for proof of man's fault in this? There is ample proof, any real scientist will tell you that.
There has NEVER been an article doubting man's influence on global warming published in a peer-reviewed journal. A recent study of almost 1000 proved that.
Yes, the earth naturally heats and cools, but the rate and amount we are warming now is unprecedented in the recent geologic past. We are doing this, and we must stop it. This is not some political statement or rhetoric. This is science trying to educate a crass, ignorant public of the damage they are doing. The magnitude of temperature increase ALREADY is about 10x that of the 'little ice age' of the middle ages, and rate and amount are only going up.
Just to be clear, glacial and interglacial cycles are mainly controlled by astronomical fluctuations, but we have a detailed record of the last 7 cycles, and what the climate and CO2 is doing now is way different and extreme. The rate of increase is much higher than in the past AND the value itself is much higher.

The biggest threat to the continuation of life on earth is a collision with a large space rock. All of earth's major extinctions are thought to have been caused by the impact of a large body with the earth.
Humans also have the ability to destroy life on earth. If enough nuclear bombs were set off it could set off "nuclear winter" and send the earth into an ice age the likes of which hasn't been seen for billions of years. It could create a "snowball earth" where the oceans freeze over and the entire globe is blanketed in snow. It would take millions of years of volcanic activity to put enough green house gasses into the atmosphere to heat the earth enough to break this cycle - because the white surface of a snowball earth would reflect much of the heat from the sun right back into space.
The good news is - niether event is very likely, and the earth will most likely be fine.
Global warming might cause some serious problems for humans - but it will not destroy all life on earth, it will merely force it to change. This isn't really such a bad thing in the grand scheme of things - but it is HORRIBLE for our current way of life (imagine if the level of the oceans rose by 20 feet.... much of Florida would be under water, as would about half of Manhattan).

probable an extremely super asteroid. The earth is in possibility of being hit by employing an asteroid and could maximum probable be hit by employing the asteroid in 2030 or some thing like that. The earth as nicely would be having some guy or woman subject concerns at that element as nicely like international conflict III and could honestly would contain u . s . a . of america. So i would not difficulty to lots approximately an asteroid, i might difficulty concerning the united statesa.and what you're able to do to be arranged for while this adventure occurs.

Viruses and the flu. The two combined have killed more people and almost killed the human race off more than anything else. Unfortunately, now a days the strains of these viruses and whatnot are getting stronger andd stronger mainly due to medications. Over time these strains are getting stronger cause people don't fully finish prescriptions and let the virus adapt and get stronger cause it isn't fully killed off. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger right? So these strains are getting stronger and stronger and doing more and more damage. If you get medication, finish it out even if you feel fine.

Catastrophic climate change, triggered by the current global warming.
Eventually, global warming will thaw out the permafrost in the north, and the greenhouse gases that were trapped long ago in and beneath the permafrost will be released.
This will result in greater warming, and climate change.
