I can't remember the lyrics but I heard it in my country years ago. For some reason just a few words of the song is stuck in my head. It's "I just got a letter from my baby" and thats it. I think it's raggae but not sure. Gosh, some one help...this is driving me crazy!!

Thanks guys for trying but it's not those songs. I listen to those, it's none of those. It's a raggae tune. And the exact words are..."I just got a letter from my baby." Thanks again...

Gimme a ticket for an aeroplane
I ain’t got time to take a fast train
Lonely days are gone I’m a goin’ home
My baby jus’ wrote me a letter.

I don’t care how much money I gotta spend
I got to get back to my baby again
Lonely days are gone I’m a goin’ home
My baby jus’ wrote me a letter.

Well, she wrote me a letter
Said she couldn’t live without me no more
Listen mister can’t you see
I gotta get back to my baby once more
Any way, yeah,

Gimme a ticket for an aeroplane
I ain’t got time to take a fast train
Lonely days are gone I’m a goin’ home
My baby jus’ wrote me a letter.

The song is called "The Letter," and it was originally performed by The Boxtops, but there have been several renditions, including one by Joe Cocker.

Could it be:

"I don't care how much money I got to spend /
Just to get back to my baby again /
Lonely days are gone /
I'm a-goin' home /
My baby, she wrote me a leter...."

I know Bill Withers does a smokin' live version of this tune....
