people that study their candidates before voting and actually know what they're voting on. because some people choose candidates based on looks, or names.

It would be impossible to find that kind of statistic for a couple of reasons.

Politicians don't read all the bills and appropriations they sign, they wouldn't have enough time. The complicated verbiage that's used is enough to throw a sane person into coma. On issues with a lot of paragraphs, they have their staff read and advise. Some small ones too.

Also, you would never agree 100% with your candidate as they have to vote the party line if they want to get re-elected. They'll need money.

Those are two major problems with career politicians and how you would know what they are voting on! You also may want to consider the last minute deals they make on behalf of their state.

Finding out how they vote would probably make you hate them. By the way, charisma is the number one reason people vote for a candidate.

If you find out how they are voting before hand and count on it... You'll lose!
