I was wondering if a blind person (from birth) dreams or not and if they do what would it be of?

Yes. I have a friend who claims to dream but only in sounds and voices.

They may well dream visually and audibly, but would not know it because they have nothing to compare it with. It would probably depend if they are blind/deaf due to problems with their eyes/ears, or with the part of the brain that interprets the sight/sound. If their brain is ok, then there would be no reason why they wouldn't subconsciously create sights and sounds, although they would obviously bear no resemblance to reality. Other then that I suppose they would dream as they would normally interpret the world, ie through touch etc.

A deaf person can't hear, but they can feel the vibrations of a piano. Surely a blind person can dream then. And, send God a voice mail so He can tell you what they dream of. :o)

what makes you think that the lack of vision robs someone of their natual ability to enter the R.E.M. stage of sleep. just because a person is blind does not mean they dont have the ability to enter into and exit from different realms of brain activity, (alpha, beta, and delta waves)... yes, blind ppl dream

Of course they do, they still have minds. They have a mental picture of the way things look in their mind that they have put together from listening to descriptions and feeling with their hands. I bet they have some badass dreams.

I am certain that they dream, about what I dont know, if they have never seen an image they could only dream in sound and touch, which sounds very freaky.
