It depends on his Position, if he is a pitcher he will generally want a 11 and 3/4 glove to a 12 inch glove (which is the size in inches) if he plays positions in the infield such as 3rd base, shortstop or 2nd base he will generally want a glove that is 11 and 3/4 inch in size. If he plays the outfield; centerfield, left field, or right field, he will want a glove around 12 and 3/4.

Mailman Bob - they do have sizes.
I wouldn't buy anyone a glove. I would give him a box with a note that says "I owe you one baseball glove because I love you snookums" and let him pick out one of his own choosing. Gloves are personal things. Even with two gloves the same style and size are not necessarily the same. I bought a 12 Inch Rawlings Gold Glove Series Trap-Eze about 10 years ago and it felt awesome from day one. After someone deciding that they wanted it too a couple of years ago, I had to buy another one. The local sports shop said that they would get me a deal at $499.99. I contacted www.eastbay.com and ordered one for half the price but the glove took me a whole year to get it to the point that it felt right.
I think getting it for him shows how much you care about something he loves and getting him to pick it out shows that you are aware of the level of importance most ball players put into their gloves.
12 3/4 is a size, I play infield and like small gloves.

How old is he and what position does he play?
I am 16 and I use a twelve-inch glove. If one of the things he put was 12 3/4'' then that is most likely the size you want. It'll say right on either the thumb or the pinky of the glove what size it is.

Take him to a sporting goods store & bet him his hand can't fit in a glove. You'll lose the bet because it will. Just act surprised & say "No way! What size is that?" He'll tell you what size. Then say " I don't think that how the glove goes on." He'll show you that its right. Notice the size & the type of glove. Normally, he'll pick up the one he likes most. Now you have the answer & it'll probably only cost you some ice cream or something...

They don't have sizes like shoes but different gloves are for different positions. The Catcher's Mitt and First Base Glove are
for that particular position. A smaller glove would be for an infielder and the larger gloves for outfielders. Check his markings
in the magazine or go to the store with him and get him over to the Sporting Goods Section and see what gloves he looks at and tries on. Also make sure you get the glove for the correct hand. If he throws left handed the glove goes on the right hand and the other way around if he throws right handed.

If he's an infielder get him a somwhat small glove. If he's an outfielder get him a bigger glove. If he plays softball get him an even bigger glove. If he is a pitcher in baseball it really doesn't matter. If he is a pitcher in softball get him a big glove.

properly My bf isn't paying for any for yule the two. He suggested because of the fact thats no longer what christmas is all approximately and all people is materialistic. So he went and offered presents to grant to the destructive (i offered some with him too). yet... now that we've presents for the destructive, i asked him what he needed for yule.. he suggested he didnt choose something that that he could provide me some thing.. yet that i ought to purchase him some thing too if i had to. He hasnt given me something yet (and im leaving on friday!) and hasn't advised me what he needed the two.. (no longer something under our tree) and... im commencing t think of there is another reason for it different than that "thats no longer what christmas is all approximately". So im no longer getting him any the two.. if he would not choose something and wont purchase something for me. I be damned if he calls me on my birthday.. that's on christmas day. (we been arguing, have faith subject concerns and and so on... so we ought to easily end the courting thats why each thing sounds the way it does).
