What are neopets anyway....and why do you like them?

Do you remember Gigapets? The little electronic pets that you could have on a keychain and you could feed them, train them, play with them and make them sleep? (They died a lot too, when they apparently had nothing else to do with their time.) Well, Neopets are similair to that, only they are on the computer.
You can feed them treats, level them up and have them fight in the arena, buy them toys and clothing (even though they never wear the clothing last time I played.) Sometimes there are some quests too that you can take part in... I think. You can also open up your own "store" on Neopets and sell the items that you've collected to other people, so that they can complete their own quests or find other neat items for their neopet!
Besides that, you can sign on but don't even have to play with the pet that you make. Honestly I enjoy going on that website because of all the minigames that you can play. With the minigames, you can collect a ton of points and buy things with them too.
Besides the quests and the minigames, there are also contests that you can take part in for short stories and pictures you draw regarding the Neopets.
Personally I find the website to be fun at any age, but it's an excellent website for kids to play on that's not harmful for them. It might be a little addictive I'd imagine, but at least they probably run a lot less of a chance running into sex predators.

It's a site where you can create fantasy pets *or adopt abandoned ones* It's like having a virtual pet *you need to feed them and take care of them when they get ill* You can also buy them things, build houses, play games and lots more. It's a fun site

Yes, it when your adopt fanasy pets. As an uni (unicorn). You feed it give it a name so on. likeyour own pet. its kinda of like webkinz if you know what that is.
