What if a person is ill.....Would that be a realistic reason as to why the hair would not pick up the hair dye color?

i'm not sure it has anything to do with being sick... i know that you can't dye your hair when preg cause there's a chance the chemicals could get into your blood stream and harm the baby. there are vegetable based dyes out there that are safe for preg women. they don't last as long but they'd hold you over.

I think the reason that pregnant women are not supposed to get their hair dyed or permed is because the chemicals seep into the scalp and possibly the blood stream and studies have not been done to prove if they can get to the baby. Pregnant women are just supposed to be extra careful about chemicals in general.

my wife just told me the answer to this one.. ask you hair dresser to give you the perm and color or pregnant women they now have products that they can use on pregnant women..

the reason your hair doesnt pick up the color when your pregnant is becuase your body is producing different hormones than if you werent pregnant. its not bad for you or the baby, but it wont work.
