People deny the super-natural; yet they wake up each day, they feel anger, pain, happiness. They feel it flow through their body; yet they deny it each day. They say, I believe and I am of, but they betray it and their own words.

How harmful is that to existance?

Dare to see; it will be alright. Close your eyes and you will live in the dark.

First of all, I don't see how the supernatural has anything to do with the feeling or anger, pain or happiness. Those aren't supernatural at all. They are just a part of the human body, a natural reaction in the brain. And people don't always deny that they feel whatever emotion it is that they feel. That's a bad over-generalization. People using acknowlegde whether they are sad or happy and so forth.

And people probably do lie to themselves everyday, but i don't see it as a sin. Like if you say, I'm gonna get all my work done today, and you don't, I don't consider it a sin by any means. White lies are created so it wouldn't hurt anyone.

For those who take religion and such really seriously, then just about everything we do is a sin or immoral. Like using this time to ask a question on the internet is a selfish act when you could very well be doing some charitable act, like helping the poor, is a sin.

Unless you lie to yourself in matters where it could harm you or harm others, this isn't very harmful to existance. Maybe if you speak spiritually it could do harm, but i don't think this is a very big problem in society.

Humanity as a whole is out of touch with the basic nature of creation. If people do not turn around soon, it really won't matter because if they don't start respecting the basic nature of life, we won't have a planet to live on anyway. I think it is turning around thought. The last generation raised were a bunch of ungrateful children who turned into self centered slackards. I believe the older generation of parents realizes what we have done to the planet and our humanity and are trying to raise their children with more sensitivity to all of life. At least that's what I'm trying to do and the people I choose to hang out with do.

It depends on how lying is. If someone lies to themselves and it effects the way they speak to other people, it could be. God's commandment says, do not bear false witness against others. SO, if lying to yourself causes you to lie to, or about, others, it is a sin.

If you really think about it, lying to yourself could be a sin as well because it can alter the way you look at and present yourself to others.

Just something to think about.

Yes, people deny the supernatural because it doesn't exist. If it did no one would deny it. Do you deny salt and pepper? So you're lyiong to yourselfr too..

I think all of us rationalize our actions at times. What is termed super-natural to one may be normal to others. It is hard to make broad judgments that are accurate.
