Hugh Grant is perfect for the role of James Bond. He's smart, witty, sexy and multi-layered. He was born to play the role.

I actually think Hugh would make a great James Bond - he's just been so type-cast in romantic comedies, other people can't picture it. However, if you've ever heard him interviewed, he probably wouldn't accept the role.

Because he's completely wrong for the role?
Bond is a cool, calculating killer. Hugh Grant's strength is comedy.

Hugh Grant is.....not quite a suave as Bond character is meant to be. I mean, Hugh is gorgeous...just not in the same state of mind as Bond. =)

1. he is too much of a wimp to play a seriously tough Bond as Daniel Craig did.
2. he is a better actor in a comedy than a drama

He is not smooth and sophisticated he is corky and funny and no amount of acting classes could change that. Hugh Grant simply put is no where near cool enough.

cause Hugh Grant is the Origional "funny man" he does not have what it takes to be silent, powerful, lady-killer Bond. Duh.
