ok...i've not been getting straight forward answers

kuwait raised theil oil deliveries after the first gulf war and this made the price of the oil in the world market go down

iraq cut their deliveries, hoping the price would rise so they'd be able to pay back their debts

kuwait raised their deliveries because there were some problems with the iraq-kuwait border...but i don't know these problemes
please don't start talking about why saddam attacked kuwait

i want to know....WHY kuwait raised their oil deliveries, when iraw was completely destroyed after the first gulf war???

Saddam attacked Kuwait because it used to be part of Iraq. In the 60's Iraq attacked it then and was pushed out by Saudi Arabia. Iraq has always wanted that part of their old country back. It was originally sectioned off Iraq by the US and British after WWII to resupply our two countries with oil. It was large part of the Iraq Gulf coastline with enough land to tap the major Iraqi oil reserves.

Kuwait is a member of OPEC, as are all the oil producers in that
part of the world. OPEC sets the prices.

Saddam attacked Kuwait because the Kuwaiti's had the gaul to
ask for repayment of the money they had loaned him to fight
his war with Iran.

Get your facts straight.

Thank you very much, while you're up!!

Well this is probably a simpler answer than you were hoping for, but my guess has to do with bringing more money into the country. You make more by selling more, not by raising prices on the same amount.
Simple capatalism.
