With a 2 week old, normally every 2 hours. But that can vary as well depending on what you are feeding him. Most breastfed babies will need to eat every 2 hours at this age....again, I said most...not all. But formula fed babies tend to go a little longer. Someone else said do not let them go any longer than 4 hrs. During the day no....but ask your doc about night time. I have heard both theories....no longer than 4 hrs and never wake a sleeping baby. With my sons' dr. it was - as long as they are gaining weight and are healthy don't wake them up in the middle of the night....but ask your doc.
As far as how much....at this age, formula fed about 2 oz and w/ breastfeeding about 10-15 minutes on each side.
By all means if you have questions like this call your pediatrician -that is why they are there.
Another thing to you could look for to be able to tell if it is hunger is when the baby 'roots'. I could always tell it was time to feed when it was roughly next feeding time and I would kiss them...they start looking for it by 'kissing' you back and moving around. Try it...at the very least it is adorable and I think all moms should know about it. :o)
Also when it comes to solids and juices, etc take your docs advice. I had aunts and grandmas, etc telling me to give rice cereal at 6 weeks, etc. It really is not necessary. Actually most recently I heard 6 months before starting solids!

AT LEAST every 4 hours!!! NEVER LET baby go more then 4 hours without eating other wise the blood sugar level can DROP and baby can get very SICK! Dr. said WAKE baby UP to eat at the 4 hour mark ESSPECIALLY A NEWBORN!
I breastfeed so the only way I know how much baby is eating is when I pump milk and give him a bottle (but I havent done that in 3 months) So the rule of thumb is offer the first breast 10-15 minutes burp baby and then offer the other breast. It's important though to make sure baby gets the beginning and END milk form breastfeeding so you might offer the first breast for another 5-10 minutes before offering the second breast. If baby is gaining then all is well.
BUT normally every 2-3 hours 2oz...and when baby is on a growing spurt every 1 hour is also normal. Expect growing spurts at 3 weeks, 6 weeks, 3 months. and so on.
Every Feeding:
(approx. As DR. for verification)
1 month 2-3 oz
2 months 4 oz
3 months 5 oz
4 months 6oz Introduce rice cereal, juice, jar food
Remember test baby. One food at a time to see if there is any alergic reaction! If you offer more then 1 at a time you wont know which made him sick.
AFTER a week of cereal very dilute on a SPOON not in a bottle! you can offer it more regularly: (2 times a day less then 1/4 cup each), juice(diluted no more then 2 oz a day) and jar food(less then 1 SMALL gerber glass jar a day). Vegitable first so baby gets used to the icky taste then fruits because all babies prefer something sweet.

Whenever the baby is hungry, but not more than 4hrs between feeds. At 2 weeks, it should hit a growth spurt within the next week and may want to feed every 1-2 hrs...Totally normal.

spammyann pretty much nailed it for you. i'm the mother of a 3month old and that is how i've been doing it. sometimes they might not finish those oz. and want to nip here and there, but usually 2 week olds eat like every 2 to 2 1/2 hrs! if they are too sleepy, you should wake them to try to keep a schedule! if possible!!!

There are various theories on this. I say feed on demand and as much as the baby wants for the first year.
