It touched on this point,
Humans are the only species that punishes ourselves countless times for the SAME act.
When a person does something wrong, they punish themselves inside. No one else knows they are doing it, but they are. And it just so happens that when we remind these people of that past act, they punish themselves again. And we punish them, and then a few years down the road they will think of the incidant again, and punish themselves again.
That is why judgement is not ours to decide. We do not know what is gong on inside another person's head, we do not know if they have truly learned their lesson or not.
Although most seem to learn nothing. It is not for us to decide.

You mean instead of apologizing or coming clean and at least admitting they are wrong, they are nice?
